These four studies were written while studying composition at La Trobe University, Australia. Studies 1,2 and 3 explore various rhythmic techniques; Study 4 combines the previous techniques into the one study.
The rhythmic techniques are:

This short study explores various transformation of melodic, rhythmic and textural cells in combination with the expansion and contraction of harmonic fields. Piano Study No. 1 also forms the basis for 'Incantation' from Enchantments for Piano (2024)
Piano Study No. 2

Based on a transcription of a large ensemble work composed in 1979, this contrapuntal study explores pitch projection into various musical spaces, and octaves using the moment form. An adaption of Study No. 2 can be heard in 'Hommage' from Enchantments for Piano (2024)
